Cranberry Maple Sauce
Makes about 4 2/3 Cups.
Ingredients:
- 2 - 12 oz. packages of fresh cranberries
- 1 1/2 Cups pure maple syrup
- 1 Cup packed golden brown sugar
- 1/2 Cup water
- 3/4 teaspoon maple extract (wish Spice Hunter made this)
Directions:
- Combine all ingredients in a heavy, large saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring often.
- Reduce heat to medium; simmer until cranberries pop, stirring often, about 10 - 12 minutes.
- Transfer to a large bowl or several small bowls. Cool completely. Cover & chill.
- Can be made 5 days ahead and freezes beautifully.
