Chiffon Salad
Notes/Suggestions: My favorite holiday recipe has always been my mother’s chiffon salad. It’s so yummy, sweet and craved in our home!!! Here’s the recipe (I hope you’ll enjoy this one as much as I always have since I was a child) Serves 6-8 bowls.Ingredients:
- 2 small boxes of strawberry Jello
- 1 carton cool whip
- 1 8oz can cottage cheese
- 1 can crushed pineapples
Directions:
- Drain pineapples and set drained pineapples aside
- Add 1 cup pineapple juice and 1 cup of water to a pan and boil
- Remove pot from heat and add Jello mix and continuing to stir (following directions)
- As it begins to set, add cool whip (all of it), cottage cheese and pineapples.
- Mix well and let set in refrigerator until firm
