The Classic Burger
Note: This recipe makes 12 ½ pound burgers or about 18 1/3 pound burgers. Use some, freeze some.Ingredients:
- 6 ½ pounds ground beef (10% fat content)
- 4 Tbls The Spice Hunter Fresh at Hand Onion Mix.
- ½ cup Worchester sauce
- 1 Tbsp salt
- 1 Tbsp ground black pepper
- 1 Tbsp garlic powder (I like the Roasted Garlic powder from The Spice Hunter)
- Using CLEAN hands, mix everything together really, really well. Make 12 or 18 equal sized balls. Flatten them into patties about ½ inch thick. Make an indent in the middle of each burger about an inch wide. This compensates for the “puffing up” factor when grilling.
- Heat the grill and brush a little bit of oil on the grill grate. Put the burgers on and let them cook on each side for about 5 minutes or until desired doneness. Avoid flipping and re-flipping.
- Serve with all your favorite condiments: onion, tomato, lettuce, pickles, ketchup, mustard and mayo. Delish!
