Big Bad BBQ Cheese Burgers

Notes/Suggestions:  Makes six ½ lb burgers

Ingredients:
  • 3 lbs ground beef or turkey
  • 6 Tbsp of Spice Hunter Onion Mix
  • ½ - ¾ cup of your favorite BBQ sauce (more to baste while grilling)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 6 oz cheddar cheese
Directions:
  1. Mix the meat with the onion mix, BBQ sauce, salt and pepper and combine well. Add more BBQ sauce to bind patties as needed.
  2. Form 12 ¼ pound patties. Put 1 oz of cheddar cheese on the center of one patty and top with another. Pinch the edges together to seal. Repeat with remain patties and cheese to form 6 burgers.
  3. Put in the fridge for at least ½ hour before cooking.
  4. Pan fry or grill to desired doneness. Baste both sides with additional BBQ sauce. 
  5. Cheese will melt inside the burgers.  Serve with red onion, lettuce, pickles, tomato and mayo.
