Baked Apples
Notes/Suggestions: This recipe has no exact measurements, just proportions. Makes about 4 large apples. Adjust accordingly.Ingredients:
- 4 large apples, cored, but not peeled
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 tsp Ginger
- 6 tbsp Brown Sugar
- 2 tbsp Raisins
- 2 tbsp Walnuts, chopped
- ¼ cup apple juice or water
- 1 tsp butter, cut into 4
Directions:
- Pre heat oven to 350 degrees
- Combine the spices, sugar, raisins and walnuts together and press into the center of each apple until filled to the top.
- Place in a baking dish that has been sprayed with cooking spray or greased with butter.
- Pour ¼ cup of apple juice of water in the bottom of the baking dish.
- Put a small piece of butter on top of each apple.
- Bake for 40 minute or until bubbling and tender when pierced with a fork.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before serving. Serve with Ice cream or frozen yogurt.
