More and more food shoppers are label readers, making sure that the ingredients are in line with their dietary needs and that of their family. So it is alarming when the labels are misleading.
Did you miss this? The FDA sent out 17 letters in the beginning of March putting 22 food products on notice for questionable labeling. The FDA has had enough with the misleading and often false claims on food labels including advertising 0g Trans Fats, 100% Juice; Boost your Immune Systems and more. Let’s face it, when Chocolate Cheerios advertise that is may reduce the risk of heart disease; I think things have gone too far. What do you think? Comment Here.
