One mom from every state and Washington, D.C. will receive transportation and hotel accommodations to attend the Mom Congress conference at Georgetown University, Sunday, May 2nd through Tuesday, May 4th, 2010

Have you devoted countless hours of your time at school board meetings, or talking with teachers and other school officials to help make your school as good as it can be? Do you know a mom who has fought tirelessly to protect your school from budget cuts? Or a parent who stood up to school policy when it didn’t make sense for families? Celebrate the achievements of parents who have made a difference in the fight for better schools by nominating them to represent your state at Parenting magazine’s first annual Mom Congress on Education and Learning at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. this May.

The goal: to create Parenting¹s Lesson Plan for Change, which will help empower parents nationwide to get more involved in their children’s education. Attendees will also hear from esteemed members of our advisory board, as well as faculty members from Georgetown¹s School of Continuing Studies, the Mom Congress educational provider. Participants will receive round-trip airfare, a two-night hotel stay, and the opportunity to connect with other moms from across the country.

Think you or someone you know deserves to represent your state? Visit Parenting.com/momcongress to apply. The deadline for applications is March 15, 2010.
